Super Easy Steak Rub Recipe


  • Steak (2 pounds cut)


  • 3 Tbsp fine kosher salt
  • 2 Tbsp Garlic Powder
  • 2 Tbsp Onion Powder
  • 5 Tbsp Paprika
  • 1 Tbsp Black Pepper
  • ½ Tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • ¼ Tsp Ground Cumin
  • ¼ Tsp Ground cinnamon
  • ¼ Tsp Hot Chili Powder

Mix together all the spices (make sure to mix them well). Once the rub is ready, sprinkle it on the surface of the meat and rub it evenly on all sides. Make sure to always sprinkle the rub onto the meat and not placing the meat on the rub-bowl so the meat will not contaminate the rub leftovers in the bowl, making them unusable for later use. Let the meat rest for an hour or two, then grill it until yummy.

TIP: You can dust a bit of the leftover rub right after the steak is out of the grill to enhance flavors.
